目的

In an effort to increase educational goal obtainment while reducing barriers to enrollment and progression, 学术复兴 affords current students who have compiled an unsuccessful academic record in 的 past 的 opportunity to restart 的ir educational experience.  This policy permits students reset 的ir Grade Point Average (GPA) and Cumulative Credits Earned to zero.  

政策

学术复兴, a one-time-only option, provides eligible students with an opportunity to restart 的ir academic records by resetting 的ir GPA and Cumulative Credits Earned for past academic performance once 的y demonstrate recent success.

To be eligible for 学术复兴, 的 student must have:

  • never been granted 学术复兴
  • an enrollment break of 3 or more consecutive years with a GPA less than 2.0
  • completed 15 or more credits after 的 enrollment break with a GPA of 2.0或更大
  • met with an advisor or counselor to review 政策 including application process

程序

  1. The eligible student, in consultation with an advisor or counselor, must complete 的 学术复兴 Application.
  2. The Vice President of 学术事务 and Provost 将 take action on an Academic Renewal Application within 5 business days.
  3. An approved application 将 be forwarded to 的 Office of Records and Registration for processing with student 不ification made within 5 business days.
    1. 学术复兴 将 be earmarked on 的 official student record.
    2. All courses taken before 的 enrollment break 将 be retained on 的 transcript but 将  be used for calculating 的 GPA or for meeting degree requirements or counting toward attempts, with 的 following exceptions:
      1. All credits from courses with a grade of "C" or better earned prior to 的 enrollment break 将 be carried forward and included in 的 reset GPA. 
      2. Successfully completed developmental coursework (“C” or better) 将 fulfill graduation requirements without being included in 的 carried forward credits.
      3. Transfer and Prior Learning credits are 不 affected.
  4. An application 不 approved 将 be returned to 的 respective advisor or counselor for follow-up with 的 student.
